John Hodson death: Man admits causing drink driving crash
A motorist has admitted causing the death of his passenger by careless driving while under the influence of drink.
John Hodson, 27, from Stretford, was killed when a Vauxhall Corsa crashed into a tree in Flixton in October 2012.
The driver, Liam Creathorne, who was seriously injured, appeared at Manchester Crown Court earlier.
The 24-year-old, of Cheriton Road, Flixton, will reappear at the court next month for sentencing.
Creathorne had denied causing death by dangerous driving.
The prosecution accepted his guilty plea to causing death by careless driving when under the influence of drink and he will be sentenced on 21 October.
