Derek Szostok death: Neighbour charged with manslaughter

A man has been charged with manslaughter after his neighbour died following an assault.

Derek Szostok was found injured at his home in Moresby Close, Leigh, at about 01:50 BST on 26 August after police were called to a neighbour's house.

The 62-year-old died on Saturday. A post-mortem examination found he died from a flexion of the neck.

William Lynch, 41, was remanded by magistrates to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on 17 September.
