Chorlton stabbing: Woman's neck wounding 'not suspicious'

The stabbing in the neck of a woman in Manchester is no longer being treated as suspicious, say police.

Officers had investigated the incident in Manley Road, Chorlton-cum-Hardy on Thursday, as a possible attack.

Det Ch Insp Colin Larkin said police were not looking for any other person in relation to the incident. The force gave no further details.

The 76-year-old woman was taken to hospital, where she is said to be in a serious but stable condition.
