A band's van and equipment, stolen during a burglary, has been recovered in Manchester after a tip-off to the police.

The Travelling Band's blue Ford Transit van, containing about £30,000 worth of equipment, was taken from a street in Levenshulme on Tuesday night.

On Thursday, a resident told police a vehicle matching the description of the stolen van was parked on a street in Beswick.

All of the band's equipment was inside.

Band member Adam Gorman said he was "overjoyed" at the discovery.

The band have had considerable success since they won Glastonbury Festival's New Talent competition in 2008.
