Fred Talbot trial: Jury retires to considers verdicts
The jury in the sex abuse trial of former weather presenter Fred Talbot has retired to consider its verdicts.
The former teacher denies 10 counts of indecent assault against schoolboys.
Four of the alleged victims studied at Altrincham Grammar School, where Mr Talbot taught biology, while the other was said to be a pupil in Gateshead, where the defendant trained.
Judge Timothy Mort dismissed the jury after summing up the case at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court.
Mr Talbot, 65, of Bowdon, Greater Manchester, is best known for presenting the weather forecast on a floating map in Liverpool's Albert Dock for ITV's This Morning programme.
