Four men have been charged with child sex offences in Rochdale.

They are accused of sexual activity with a girl under 16 between 2005 and 2007, Greater Manchester police said.

The charges are linked to Operation Doublet, a continuing investigation into child sexual exploitation in the town, which has so far led to 65 arrests.

The men are all due to appear at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates' Court on 28 April.

Abid Khan, 38, of Whitney Road, Liverpool, has been charged with three counts of sexual activity with a child.

Hadi Jamel, 33, of Yorkshire Street, Rochdale, Mohammed Zahid, 54, of Croxton Avenue, Rochdale, and Raja Abid Khan, 38, of Palatine Street, Rochdale, are each charged with a single count of sexual activity with a child.
