Rochdale murder probe: Two held after man found dead
Two men have been arrested over the suspected murder of a man in Rochdale.
The 40-year-old was found dead after police were called to a house on Cheapside in Middleton on Monday.
He had been treated in hospital on Friday for injuries suffered in a suspected assault on 10 April. A post-mortem indicated his death could be linked to those injuries.
Two men, aged 39 and 42, have been held on suspicion of murder and assisting an offender respectively.
Det Ch Insp Sarah Jones, of Greater Manchester Police, said: "We are providing support to [the dead] man's family at this difficult time and will provide updates to the public when we have more information that we can share."
