Two charged after man found dead in Rochdale
Two men have been charged in connection with the death of a man whose body was found at a house in Rochdale.
The 40-year-old was discovered after police were called to the property in Cheapside in Middleton on Monday.
Lee Welch, 39, of Rochdale, and Jason Dance, 42, of Middleton, have respectively been charged with assault and assisting an offender.
They appeared at at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court, where they were remanded in custody.
They will appear again on a date yet to be decided.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said a post-mortem examination indicated the man's death may be linked to injuries he suffered on 10 April.
An investigation is ongoing, he added.
