A man has been charged with murdering a father outside his own home.

Mike Grimshaw, 34, died in hospital after he was stabbed in the neck in Royton Avenue, Sale, Greater Manchester on 20 July.

Tyrone Patrick, 32, of Haydock Close, Streford is accused of murder and is due before city magistrates on Tuesday.

A woman, aged 54, and a 28-year-old man arrested on suspicion of harbouring an offender have been released under investigation.

A 16-year-old boy and a man aged 31 previously arrested have been bailed.
