A second man has been charged with the murder of a 21-year-old man.

Billy Livesley, of Platt Bridge, suffered a head injury in Bickershaw Lane in Abram, Wigan on 28 December and died the following day.

Police said Myles Connors, 24, of no fixed address, has been charged with murder. Two men, aged 25 and 26, who were arrested earlier have been released with no further action.

Peter Connor, 30, appeared in court charged with murder earlier this month.

Mr Connor, of no fixed address, has been remanded in custody to appear at Manchester Crown Court on 4 February.

Police said a 58-year-old man has been released under investigation and a 22-year-old man has been bailed pending further enquiries.

In a tribute, Mr Livesley's mother Sylvia said her son was a "one in a million".
