Men in court over fatal stabbing in Toxteth

Two men have appeared in court charged with the murder of a man who was found with stab wounds in Liverpool.

Muneeb Naseer, 21, was found at a flat in Arundel Avenue, Toxteth, on Tuesday night. He died later in hospital.

Alan Johnson, 30, of Whitney Road, Woolton, and Colin Clark, 36, of Hale Road, Speke, appeared before Liverpool magistrates earlier.

Both were remanded in custody and will appear at Liverpool Crown Court on 28 July.

A third man, Mark Hurst, 19, of North Barcombe Road in Childwall, was also charged with murder and appeared before magistrates on Saturday. He is also due to appear at the crown court on 28 July.

A 19-year-old man from Halewood who was arrested in connection with Mr Naseer's death has been released on police bail, a spokesman.
