Three youths arrested after boy shot in Liverpool

Three teenagers have been arrested in connection with the shooting of 16-year-old boy in Liverpool.

The boy was shot in the leg shortly before 2330 BST on Monday, in Scargreen Avenue, Norris Green. Police say they believe it was a targeted attack.

The youths, aged 15, 16 and 18, are being held on suspicion of wounding and on suspicion of possessing a firearm.

The arrests follow early morning raids at several properties in north Liverpool, a police spokesman said.

A motorbike was also seized from a house in Fazakerley.
