Warrington burglary victim throws himself on car

A man who arrived home to discover his house had been ransacked threw himself on to the bonnet of the burglars' car to try to stop them getting away.

The victim clung on and continually punched the windscreen causing it to shatter before he was thrown off near the road outside his Warrington house.

He had been confronted by the two male burglars as they loaded their car with his possessions on 10 August.

One punched the victim in the face and the other threw a holdall at him.

Champagne case

The burglars sped off from the house in Radley Lane, Houghton Green in the direction of Mill Lane, Cheshire Police said.

They escaped with a flat screen television, other goods and a case of champagne.

The first thief was white, of average build, and in his late 20s.

He was dressed in a yellow T-shirt with dark brown hair.

The second man was described as white with a tanned complexion, closely shaved hair and a rounded face.

He was dressed in a green or grey T-shirt with dark-coloured trousers.
