Two men arrested in Liverpool murder probe

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of the murder of a man who was shot in Liverpool.

Asif Bashir was shot in the legs during a robbery at a house in Edinburgh Road, Kensington, on 6 August.

The 25-year-old, of Allerton, was taken to hospital and later discharged. But a month later he was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary, where he died.

The men, aged 20 and 21 and from the Toxteth area, remain in police custody for questioning.

A 25-year-old, from Kensington, was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder and released on bail last week.
