Tributes to man shot in Liverpool robbery

The family of a 25-year-old man who died after he was shot in a robbery in Liverpool have paid tribute to him.

Asif Bashir, from Allerton, was shot in the legs at a house in Edinburgh Road, Kensington, on 6 August.

He was taken to hospital and later discharged, but a month later he was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary, where he died.

His family said: "Asif was a hard working and loving young man who made his family and friends very proud."

They added: "He was a lovely caring person who always thought of others before himself.

"His tragic and sudden death has devastated us as a family and he is greatly missed by all those who knew him.

"We cannot believe he has gone. We will always miss Asif and will always pray for him.

"We want justice for Asif and would urge anyone with information that will help catch those responsible to contact the police immediately."

Three people have been arrested and bailed pending further inquiries in connection with the case.
