Third arrest over car crash fire death in Liverpool
A third man has been arrested after a man died when the car he was travelling in crashed into a lamppost and caught fire in Liverpool.
The silver S-Type Jaguar crashed in Stanley Road, Kirkdale, in the early hours of Saturday.
The 19-year-old driver was pulled from the car but a passenger died. Police arrested the driver at the scene.
Another man, 19, was arrested on Monday and has been released on bail. Police arrested the third man, 20, on Tuesday.
All were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
The driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The man who died has not yet been formally identified, a police spokeswoman said.
