Birkenhead redevelopment plans put on hold

Plans to redevelop part of Birkenhead have been put on hold by councillors.
Plans to transform Europa Boulevard, which included building a new casino, were scrapped at a cabinet meeting on Thursday.
Europa Plaza Developments had proposed building a new hotel, casino and restaurant on the land but those plans were pulled by the council in July.
Wirral Borough Council said it had only received one valid tender from a company since then.
A decision was made on Thursday not be re-market the land.
