Warrington woman held after boyfriend fatally stabbed

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after her boyfriend was found stabbed to death at a house in Warrington.

Officers discovered the 50-year-old in Bruche Heath Gardens, Padgate, at about 2300 GMT on Sunday.

The suspect, 36, was taken into custody later that night. She is still being questioned.

A post-mortem examination has not yet been carried out, a police spokeswoman added.
