Cyclist hurt in hit-and-run crash in Lymm

A 63-year-old cyclist was treated in hospital for head injuries following a hit-and-run crash in Cheshire.

The man was riding along Barsbank Lane in Lymm, through the tunnel under the Bridgewater Canal, at about 2240 GMT on Monday when the incident happened.

Cheshire Police said he was struck by a car, similar to a Volkswagen Golf which failed to stop.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment but has since been discharged.

Anyone with information is being urged to contact police.
