A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of Joseph Cummins on Merseyside last month.

Mr Cummins, 25, was shot repeatedly in the back on Longmoor Lane, Fazakerley, on 20 January and died in hospital.

Two other people were arrested earlier on Saturday in a police operation in the Orrell Park area. One of them is accused of assisting an offender.

Mr Cummins, raised in Harrismith Road near where he was shot, was described by his family as a "lovable rogue".
