A man has been charged after explosive devices were found on waste ground in Cheshire.

Bomb disposal experts examined the devices on Sunday after they were found by police on land in Marsh House Lane in Warrington.

A 52-year-old was arrested. He was charged with making an explosive with intent to cause someone injury and three counts of witness intimidation.

Police said he was due to appear at Warrington Magistrates' Court later.

A cordon was set up around the site on Marsh Lane on Sunday and the Army bomb disposal team attended and made the devices safe.
