A tenth arrest has been made by police investigating the murder of a man who was shot in a car in Liverpool.

Edward Pybis, known as Eddie, was sitting in a silver Volvo on Utting Avenue in Anfield on 3 January when he was shot in the chest and arm.

The 20-year-old, of Norris Green, was taken to hospital but died from his injuries on 9 January.

Merseyside Police arrested a 20-year-old man, from Huyton, on suspicion of murder. He was later bailed.

Four men, two 23-year-olds and one each aged 19 and 22, were arrested during raids in Stoneycroft, Wavertree and Clubmoor earlier in the week. They were all released on bail.

Detectives are continuing to appeal for information about the shooting.
