Two people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was shot in the head as he left a pub in Liverpool.

Bahman Faraji, 44, had stepped out of the Belgrave pub in Aigburth with friends when he was shot at point-blank range by a lone gunman.

The incident happened at about 1850 GMT on Thursday.

A 48-year-old woman and 53-year-old man from the Garston area have been arrested, Merseyside Police said.
