Two people who were arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was shot dead in Liverpool have been released on bail.

Bahman Faraji, 44, had stepped out of the Belgrave pub, in Aigburth, with friends when he was shot at by a lone gunman at about 1850 GMT on Thursday.

Post-mortem tests found he died from a single gun shot wound to his head.

A 48-year-old woman and a man, 53, from the Garston area were bailed by police on Sunday.
