A man has been charged with the murder of a man who was shot dead outside a Liverpool pub.

Bahman Faraji, 44, had stepped out of the Belgrave pub in Aigburth with friends when he was shot at by a lone gunman on Thursday 24 February.

Post-mortem tests found he died from a single gun shot wound to his head.

Merseyside Police said a 40-year-old man from Dingle has been charged with his murder and is due to appear before Liverpool magistrates on Saturday.

Three other people arrested during this murder investigation remain on police bail pending further enquiries.
