Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 44-year-old was shot dead outside a Liverpool pub.

Bahman Faraji had stepped out of the Belgrave pub in Aigburth with friends when he was shot in the head on 24 February.

The men, aged 42 and 53, both from Garston, remain in police custody, a Merseyside Police spokeswoman said.

A 40-year-old man from Dingle was charged with Mr Faraji's murder earlier this month.
