Liverpool firefighters free boy's hand from car door

A four-year-old boy was freed by firefighters after getting his fingers trapped in a car door in Liverpool.

Crews from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service were called to help the boy in Edgeley Gardens in Orrell Park on Friday morning.

Firefighters used a crowbar to prise the door open while giving oxygen to the distressed youngster.

A fire service spokesperson said the boy was taken to Alder Hey Hospital with injuries to his fingers.
