The family of a 30-year-old Merseyside woman who died a fortnight after she was assaulted say she will be "forever missed".

Lisa Hoolahan of Speke was taken to hospital with serious head injuries following the attack on 17 March. She deteriorated and died on 31 March.

A 58-year-old man from Speke has been remanded in custody charged with her murder.

Anthony Kenneth Finn will appear at Liverpool Crown Court later.

The family said in a statement: "Lisa was a fun-loving, caring person. She had a great sense of humour and she would go out of her way to help others in need.

"She was the baby of a family of six and she will be forever missed as a daughter, sister and Aunty."

The family said they were "devastated" by her death and that "she will always be remembered with love and affection".
