Lorry driver arrested over cyclist's death in Huyton

A lorry driver has been arrested and bailed over the death of a cyclist in Merseyside.

The cyclist suffered serious head injuries following the collision and was pronounced dead in Stretton Way, Huyton, on Thursday.

Merseyside Police said a 63-year-old man from Formby was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.

He was released on police bail pending further inquiries.
