Twelve arrested in St Helens and Bootle drug raids

Twelve people have been arrested on suspicion of drugs and firearms offences by police on Merseyside.

Officers raided nine addresses in the Parr and Haydock areas of St Helens and in Bootle on Thursday morning.

The 12 were arrested for offences including suspicion of conspiracy to supply controlled drugs and suspicion of being in possession of a firearm.

Twenty people were charged with supplying drugs in the first wave of the operation earlier this month.
