Speke arrests: 12 held after two-year police operation

Twelve people have been arrested in Liverpool on suspicion of a range of drugs and fraud related offences.

Merseyside Police executed 14 warrants at addresses throughout Speke and neighbouring areas.

Ten men aged and two women between 19 and 64 were arrested on suspicion of offences including possession of controlled drugs, fraud and theft.

It followed a two-year investigation into members of rival organised crime groups.

Class A drugs and cash were recovered with a cannabis factory also being found during the police raids.

All those arrested remain in custody.
