Two men arrested over West Derby shooting

Two men have been arrested over a shooting in Liverpool on Monday.

Police were called to reports that shots had been heard in Snowberry Road in West Derby at about 17:15 BST.

A West Derby man, 23, and a man, 20, from Kirkby arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life have now been bailed.

A short time later an 18-year-old man in a nearby house was taken to hospital with gunshot wounds, said Merseyside Police.

The man's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening and he is in a stable condition, said a police spokesman.
