Marcos Ringle: Boy charged with attempted murder

A 16-year-old Liverpool boy has been charged with attempted murder in connection with an attack on a boy on his bike in Crosby.

Marcos Ringle, 16, suffered serious head injuries during the incident in Coronation Road on Sunday.

The boy, from Walton, was due to appear at South Sefton Magistrates Court in Bootle on Saturday.

A man, 22, from Walton, who was arrested has been detained by police under the Mental Health Act.

A 16-year-old boy from Kirkby has been released on bail pending further inquiries.

The bike, a present for Marcos' 16th birthday, was found in Roxburgh Street, Kirkdale, on Monday.
