Tribute to Southport mother of three killed in car crash

The family of a mother of three from Southport who was hit and killed by a car has paid tribute to her "bubbly personality".

Thirty-four-year-old Julia Smith died after being struck by the car on Town Lane Kew in Southport on 21 July.

A family statement said they were "absolutely devastated" and her death had left a "big hole" in their lives.

A 17-year-old youth arrested over the incident has been released on bail by police pending further inquiries.

Ms Smith leaves behind three sons; Harry, nine, Jacob, six and two-year-old Rhauri.

The family said: "She has left a big hole in the lives of all that knew and loved her and not a day will go past that she won't be missed."
