Two men arrested over Wirral stabbing

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed in Merseyside, said police.

The 38-year-old victim was found suffering from several stab wounds on Seabank Road in Wallasey, Wirral, at about 23:00 BST on Wednesday.

He is in a serious condition in hospital but it is not thought to be life-threatening, said police.

A 27-year-old man from Wallasey and a 22-year-old from Birkenhead have been arrested.
