Boy shot in leg and hand in 'targeted' attack in Bootle

A boy was left with injuries to his leg and hand after being shot in Liverpool.
Police attended Monfa Road in Bootle at about 17:10 GMT on Tuesday and found a 16-year-old boy with pellet injuries to his right hand and upper thigh.
Police said his injuries were not life threatening and he was discharged from hospital after treatment.
A 16-year-old from the Bootle area has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
He has also been arrested on suspicion of the unauthorised taking of a motor vehicle and remains in police custody.
A police spokeswoman said detectives believed the attack to have been "targeted".
