Toxteth mosque 'suspect' suitcase: Danish man cautioned
A Danish man has been cautioned after bomb disposal experts carried out controlled explosions on a suitcase found inside a mosque in Liverpool.
Bomb disposal experts exploded the "suspect" suitcase near the Al Rahma Mosque, on Mulgrave Street, in Toxteth, at about 23:30 BST on Sunday.
A police spokesman said no explosive materials were found at the scene.
The 22-year-old was cautioned after being arrested for causing a public nuisance.
Homes around the mosque were evacuated while two explosions were carried out.
The police spokesman added that the suitcase had been left inside the mosque, but was carried outside by someone before police were called.
