Police have released a photo of a man they are trying to trace in connection with the death of a man whose body was found on a Merseyside promenade.

Mark Reissing, 48, from Wallasey, discovered on Egremont Promenade in New Brighton last week, died of multiple injuries, police said.

Detectives believe Nazzareno Abela, of Wallasey, "has information vital to our investigation".

A man, 41, and a woman, 37, arrested on suspicion of murder have been bailed.

Police have asked people not to approach Mr Abela, but to contact officers if they see him.
