A ninth person has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder a man who was shot dead parking his car in Liverpool.

Jason Osu, 31, was shot five times in November 2012 on Beauclair Drive in Wavertree and died five days later.

Merseyside Police said a 48-year-old man was arrested and bailed pending further enquiries.

Currency trader Mr Osu, who also held a pilot's licence, was the victim of a targeted attack, police said.

A total of 15 people have now been arrested in connection with the case, with six others held on suspicion of a range of offences including fraud, as well as drug possession and cultivation.

They are all currently on police bail.
