Southport's Waterfront Arts Project reopens for exhibition

An arts centre in Merseyside has re-opened for the launch of a new exhibition.

The Waterfront Arts Project on Southport promenade was set up by four artists and a technician in 2010.

Metamorphosis focuses on the theme of change and rebirth and includes paintings, sculptures and photographs.

Those involved in the project, which aims to promote art and culture in Southport, said it has had 40,000 visitors to its exhibitions.

The Metamorphosis exhibition runs until 6 October.
