Ryanair stewardess punched in face

A woman has received a police caution for punching a stewardess on a flight at Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

The flight was about to take off on Sunday evening after cabin crew asked them to remove a group of unruly passengers.

Merseyside Police said a 24-year-old woman was cautioned for common assault for the attack.

The Ryanair flight, which was destined for Palma, Majorca, was delayed as a result.

A spokeswoman for Merseyside Police said the stewardess was "badly shaken, but uninjured."
