Boy, 13, critical after motorbike crash in Litherland

A 13-year-old boy is in a critical condition following a crash between two motorbikes in a Merseyside park.

The collision happened at about 19:15 on Saturday evening in Rimrose Valley Park on Beach Road in Litherland.

The boy was taken to Alder Hey Hospital with serious head injuries and a broken leg. A 16-year-old boy suffered serious fractures to his legs in the incident.

Merseyside Police are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.

Det Insp Mark Smith from Sefton CID said: "I'm asking anyone who was in, or around, the park at that time who saw anything, or anyone who may have any information, to please contact us."
