Boys, 12 and 13, appear in court charged with Anfield rape

Two boys, aged 12 and 13, have appeared in court charged with raping a woman at her home in Liverpool.

A 43-year-old woman, described by police as vulnerable, was attacked at her flat in Anfield in September.

The pair, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Liverpool Youth Court also charged with other sexual offences.

The boys, from Anfield and Tuebrook, were bailed until their next appearance at Liverpool Crown Court on 17 March.

Twelve youths arrested in connection with the attack have been bailed including a 15-year-old girl and a boy, 14, from Norris Green who presented himself at a police station.
