Detectives investigating the death of a Liverpool sailor 10 years ago have arrested a man on suspicion of murder.

Anthony Cavanagh, 22, was on shore leave from HMS Cardiff on 24 September 2005 when he was punched as he left the Walkabout bar in Concert Square.

He died after being in a coma for 11 days at Walton Neurological Centre.

Officers arrested a 33-year-old man at a house in Blundellsands on Thursday and he was taken to a police station for questioning.
