King's Lynn man stole from mother-in-law

A 62-year-old man has been given a four-month suspended jail sentence after he admitted stealing more than £3,500 from his mother-in-law.

Michael Foster, from Sheepsbridge Caravan in Snettisham near King's Lynn, admitted two counts of fraud.

Norwich Crown Court heard Foster, who suffered from depression and drank, stole from his mother-in-law's bank account by signing cheques to himself.

He has also been ordered to join an alcohol counselling programme.

Another condition of his suspended jail sentence was that Foster must repay his mother-in-law £2,400.
