Bomb blown up after found on North Norfolk farmland

An object thought to be an unexploded World War II bomb has been discovered and blown up on farmland in north Norfolk

The device was discovered between Happisburgh Common and Whimpwell Green and police and bomb disposal experts were called.

Roads around the site were closed to traffic while emergency services attended the scene on Saturday morning.

Bomb disposal teams carried out a controlled explosion at 1320 BST.
