Man charged over Norfolk paramedic attack

A man has been charged by police investigating an assault on a paramedic in Norfolk.

The on-duty paramedic was flagged down in Sandy Lane, West Runton, near Sheringham, in the early hours of Sunday.

The victim suffered cuts, bruising and swelling to the arms, neck, hands and legs in the attack.

A 56-year-old man from Great Yarmouth has been charged with assault and criminal damage.

He will appear at North Norfolk Magistrates' Court on 9 September.
