Two men were killed when a wall at the site of a barn conversion collapsed on them in Suffolk.

Emergency services from Suffolk Fire and Rescue and the East of England ambulance service were at the scene in Shop Street, Worlingworth.

The air ambulance was called into help the rescue shortly before 1700 BST.

One of the men is believed to have suffered a cardiac arrest in the incident while the other received severe head injuries.

East of England Ambulance Service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: "Sadly after everyone's best efforts, two men were pronounced dead at the scene.

"Our thoughts are firmly with their families at this tragic time.

"Due to the structural damage and a dangerous environment to work in the hazardous area response team, who are highly skilled paramedics trained in working in unsafe areas, remain on standby at the scene alongside the fire service."
