Upgrade for electricity network in Hunstanton

Work is taking place on a £1.5m upgrade to the electricity distribution network at Hunstanton in Norfolk.

UK Power Networks is installing high-voltage electrical equipment at a substation in the Downs Road area, including two transformers.

Project manager Jonathon Ratsey said the work would help to improve the reliability of power supplies to Hunstanton and the surrounding area.

The energy firm said work was due to be completed in spring 2011.
