QE hospital King's Lynn on black alert as beds full

A Norfolk hospital is on "black alert" as a higher than usual number of patients has caused its wards to fill to capacity.

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn said all of its 515 beds was full.

The hospital said it was dealing with high numbers of people suffering from chest conditions.

The accident and emergency department remains open but some routine admissions have been postponed.
